Rebates. Some people hate them (such a hassle), some people love them (great deals). We can all agree, though, that they're notorious for being a gamble. There are some things you can do to help (keep photocopies of everything, get delivery confirmation on envelopes), but knowledge is still the best way to put the odds in your favor. You may even find tips on how to convince the rebate center that you did, in fact, qualify for the rebate you sent in, despite what they may claim.
The house doesn't have to always win. Armed with the rebate reviews here, you shouldn't ever again have to experience the anger and disappointment that not getting a rebate brings about - and if you do end up having a bad experience, you can warn other people not to do business with a company that doesn't fulfill their obligations. This site will not only give you a place to vent your frustrations and warn other people, though - companies will also be able to look at it and (hopefully) change things so their rebate rating reputation improves.
